Nomads Clothing

Nomads Fairtrade Clothing: Retro 70s Dresses, Cord Dresses Fairtrade and tradition are at the heart of the Nomads Clothing collection. Nomads are strongly influenced by Indian culture - think Retro Boho style, late 1960s fashion and the summer of love. Incorporating traditional manufacturing methods, organic cotton fabrics and Fairtrade, Nomads make vintage inspired clothing for the individual woman who sees life as an adventure.

For over 20 years Nomads have been creating unique clothing - retro dresses, 60s inspired kaftans and tunic tops with beautiful embroidery or unique prints, dress coats and retro winter coats and 70s corduroy pinfore dresses. With a strong ethic of 'Trade, not aid', they say, 'Our love of Indian crafts and of maintaining these traditions is sewn into the very fabric of the clothing. Villages such as Bagru are known for their wonderful block printing which you will find incorporated into several of our classic casuals for this season. Supporting handicraft artisans is another way that Nomads is able to promote traditional skills. Patchwork made from bedsheets and hand appliqué work can be found in some of our casual jackets and coats."

'Fairtrade also takes into consideration environmental issues. In the past 6 years Nomads have been working towards finding new ways to reduce the environmental impact our products have on the planet. Organic cotton is now more available to us and we are happy to increase this range yet again for the new collection.'
