Classic Retro Sixties mod blue gingham check shirt with classic standard collar and unusual slightly swept tail, made by British Heritage Brand, 'Double Two'. Smart and stylish mens clothing that can be worn both casual and smart.
Founded in 1940 in Wakefield in the North of England, Double Two went from strength to strength developing new styles and shirt fabrics - bringing out the first shirt to be made from blended natural and mad made fibres in 1963, 'White Light'.
The Sixties and seventies saw greater emphasis placed on bolder and more outrageous colours for shirts. Whilst the traditional vintage shirt design was still present- breast pocket, placket front and button cuff detail - the more adventurous colours and patterns appealed to the sixties dandy mod who wanted classic, smart styles with a modern edge.
