Classic Tootal Scarves - The Essential Retro Mod Scarf
There are few genuine Mod Clothing brands with real Mod Class and History, but Tootal is one of them. A classic British heritage brand, which played an important role in Sixties and Seventies Mod Fashion.
Tootal was registered in the UK in 1799, and found its historical British home in The Tootal Building in Manchester's Oxford Street almost exactly a century later in 1898. The building had been specially built to house Tootal and was its UK base for many years.
Although it could be argued that Tootal is equally as famous a brand for its menswear and indeed the iconic Tootal Fabrics Company (now its UK office is based in Stockport, just outside of Manchester), it is the Tootal Scarves element that captured the Mod interest in the early Sixties.
Traditionally made in Paisley or Polkadot designs, and in silk and later Rayon, Tootal Scarves are now available in the traditional Sixties styles or in contemporary, updated Indie Style designs.
This new style Cobalt Blue TOOTAL SCARF sees a fantastic Retro Sixties Argyle Diamond TOOTAL print on one side in cobalt blue, sky and black. Classic plain black reverse. As always, the Scarf also bears the genuine Tootal Authenticity label. Fantastic Sixties Mod Style which will Live Forever.
