Gabicci Vintage
Established in 1973 by Jack Sofier and Alex Pyser, Gabicci aimed to incorporate Italian inspired styling with an air of authority and class, and introduce it to the UK market. The name itself is taken from an Italian resort town, Gabicci Mare, visited by the brands founders. Gabicci are world reknowned for retro knitwear and mod polos, jersey wear and shirts.
Offering classic Menswear styles Gabicci became a favourite on the Northern Soul scene and an icon of 1970s and 80s fashion. The Gabicci Vintage range celebrates Gabicci's rich heritage and original style. We stock a large range of Gabicci, covering almost every colour available and in men's sizes small - 3XL.
The Autumn/Winter 2025 Gabicci Vintage Collection is a mix of classic knitwear such as the renowned 'Lineker' Tipped Polo and 'Soda' mod racing stripe knitted polo, plain knits such as the 'Guinness' mod button through cardigan and the introduction of fresh styles in seasonal colour palettes such as the Gabicci 'Dante' textured dash-stripe knitted polo. This season sees a fresh injection of retro Cable Knit Jumpers, the 'Temor' evoking vintage fisherman pullover styling and available in three fab colours. The Leonardo Roll Neck Jumper also makes a return in some stylish seasonal colour ways too. All these knitwear styles follow the trademark Gabicci Vintage design with contemporary takes on retro silhouettes. The vast Gabicci archives are a goldmine of retro and mod knitwear classics, providing a great foundation for inspiration and creation of new Gabicci wardrobe staples.
The Gabicci Archive collection grows for AW25 with a fresh injection of colours and styles. The Gabicci Archive range brings back that authentic retro 1970s and 1980s Casuals Gabicci look, tailoring it perfectly for the modern menswear wardrobe.
At Atom Retro, we stock an extensive range of the iconic Gabicci Vintage clothing that dominated the Mod era. Of course, we’re Mod aficionados, which means that when we find something that epitomises the movement we spend our lives reviving, we want to tell the world about it.
In the 1970s, Gabicci became a favourite among youth subcultures including Mods, Rude Boys, and Soul Boys, worn by influential music figures like Bob Marley and The Specials. Gabicci blended sharp Italian-inspired design with British casual style, pioneering knitwear with unique fabrics, suede trims, and its iconic gold "G" logo. The brand’s authentic retro aesthetic, rooted in vintage menswear and mod culture, continues to resonate today, with its classic polos, cardigans, and knitwear remaining popular for their timeless style and superior craftsmanship. Gabicci’s enduring appeal lies in its ability to capture the spirit of 1970s fashion while injecting fresh energy into modern streetwear, making it as relevant now as it was during its inception.
