About Fred Perry

Tennis legend, Fred Perry hailed from Stockport and rose to fame with three Wimbledon titles. Renowned for his sharp style, Perry collaborated with Austrian Tibby Wegner to create his first garment, a simple sweatband, before launching the first Fred Perry polo shirt (M3) in 1952. The introduction of the M12 Twin Tipped Polo, featuring the iconic laurel wreath logo, marked the beginning of a new era in British sportswear.

During the 1960s, Fred Perry clothing evolved beyond the court. It became a symbol of Mod and Ska subcultures, worn with jeans, desert boots, and Harrington jackets, cementing its place as a hallmark of British youth style. From Mods and skinheads to Britpop and indie icons, Fred Perry remains the uniform of individuality.

Today, Fred Perry continues to unite generations — from classic Fred Perry jumpers and twin tipped polos to modern jackets and trainers. Favoured by musicians and sports stars alike, the brand’s commitment to timeless design and quality craftsmanship endures.
