'The Animals' - Sixties Mod Mens Mojo Club T-shirt

The ANIMALS - SIXTIES KING MOJO CLUB RETRO T-SHIRT.

The ANMALS with legendary vocalist Eric Burden were great favourites with the mod King Mojo Club crowd and always played to a full house. On Sunday May 21st 1967 the stage was set for a memorable performance.

By the time the Animals played their last set at the Mojo it was 1967, Alan Price had already left (in 1965) and Eric Burden was about set to leave the UK for life in San Francisco.

This didn't matter to the Mojo crowd who were wowed by a storming setlist and a spectacular light show that had the dazzling effect of making Burden et al appear in slow motion against the strobing light.

The animals took to the stage in a typically iconic and rock and roll spirit. The stage apparently strewn with Bottles of the bands hometown Newcastle Brown Ale was the perfect setting for the electrifying show. It wouldn't be long until Eric Burden would distance himself from his hard boozing image for the tranquil love and peace setting of the San Fran Bay, so this was one of the last glimpses of Burden and the Animals in full scale rock and roll frenzy.
