Originally founded in the 1930s by John Scott-Nichol in Shepshed on the edge of Charnwood Forest, Leicestershire, England, Scott-Nichol socks was acquired by the Hall family in 2006. The Hall family's heritage was in British made socks since 'Honest John' Hall started making hosiery in 1882. Since 2006 all Scott-Nichol socks have been made in the family owned factory on Hallaton Street, Leicester, England - the home of the iconic Pantherella Fine English Sock brand.
Scott-Nichol source outstanding natural fibres to create unique and distinctive men's socks. Every Scott-Nichol pair of socks is hand finished and renowned for exceptional comfort and durability for more active situations. Scott-Nichol wool socks are knitted from a blend of virgin wool, taken from the sheep's first shearing, and nylon for added fit and longevity. Scott-Nichol cotton socks are knitted from super soft ringspun cotton blended with nylon for elasticity, fit and durability.
