Since 1937, Ray-Ban have improving your vision of the world. Ray-Ban design pioneering lens technologies to create glasses that don't just protect your vision but also improve it. Whatever your view of the world, Ray-Ban have the right lens to make it perfect! We stock many of the Ray-Ban icons range from the archetypal Ray-Ban Aviator and Ray-Ban Wayfarer styles to the distinctive and sophisticated shape of the Ray-Ban Clubmaster. Other notable styles within the Ray-Ban icons range are the Caravan, a square shaped style developed in 1957 as an alternative to the Aviator teardrop style. As alternatives to the Ray-Ban Wayfarer, Ray-Ban introduced an alternative frame, the Olympian in 1965. Notable features include a sporty wrap round rectangular lens and a distinctively shaped top bar. 1967's Ray-Ban Balorama sunglasses carried on the wrap round look and were notably worn by the legend, Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry movie franchise.

Carrying on the heritage theme, we also stock the legendary Persol. A name that derives from the Italian phrase 'Per Il Sole' (For The Sun), Persol was born in Turin in 1917. Persol's unique features included the Meflecto system, the Arrow and the “3-notch bridge. The Arrow is inspired by the swords of ancient warriors and serves as a decorative element for the hinge. The distinctive 3-notch bridge, still featured on the 649, is designed to improve fitting. The legendary Persol 649 was released in 1957. Originally designed to protect the eyes of Turin’s tram drivers from dust and glare, it soon became a success. In 1961, the Persol 649 was featured in the movie, Divorce Italian Style. Today, it’s still one of Persol’s Icons. The movie appearances continued with the iconic Persol 714 sunglasses worn by the King of Cool, Steve McQueen in The Thomas Crown Affair (1968). The Persol 714, originally produced as the foldable version of the 649, was stepping into the history of cinema, and lifestyle, forever.
