Blast off into classic 60s design with the Mathmos Telstar Retro Black Rocket Lava Lamp in Violet/Turquoise. With its distinctive rocket-shaped silhouette, high-shine black nickel finish and mesmerising violet and turquoise lava, Telstar brings a little Space Age magic to your home. Inspired by the excitement surrounding the moon landings and the era's fascination with space, its bold profile feels wonderfully at home alongside retro, Mid-Century Modern and psychedelic interiors.
Made in Britain to exacting quality and safety standards, Telstar features a precision-cast metal body finished in high-shine black nickel, with precision-cast legs embossed with the Mathmos logo and protective silicone boots underneath. Its branded glass bottle is made in Yorkshire and hand-filled at the Mathmos factory in Poole, Dorset, using the unique, long-lasting lava formula developed by founder Edward Craven Walker, the inventor of the lava lamp. Switch it on, give it time to warm up and watch the violet and turquoise lava begin its wonderfully hypnotic journey.
A genuine British design classic with a playful space-age attitude, Telstar is part lighting, part sculpture and all retro fun.
