Designed in 1963 by Edward Craven Walker, the original inventor of the lava lamp, the Astro remains a symbol of British mid-century innovation and playful retro style. Each lamp is built using a precision-made glass bottle produced in Yorkshire, a top-quality spun aluminium base and cap finished in a sleek matt black anodised coat, and Mathmos’ unique, ever-mesmerising lava formula.
Still made by skilled craftspeople in Poole, the Astro continues its legacy as a timeless cultural icon of the 60s and 70s. This brilliant clear-and-yellow edition offers an uplifting, vibrant flow, perfect for adding vintage ambience to any room.
