Magpie enter their seventh season of collaborating with mid-century pottery icons, Hornsea, with a fresh set of designs. Moving on from the Clappison era which inspired previous seasons, Magpie explore the work of Jack Dadd with new range, who was a freelance designer for Hornsea Pottery from roughly 1974 to 1977.
Famous for his for his popular "newsprint" style mugs featuring zodiac signs and jungle animals, such as the toucan, owl, tiger, lion, elephant, and hippo. The latest Magpie range consists on a series of designs either directly based on Jack Dadd originals, or inspired by the great man's legacy.

Known for quirky patterns, striking forms, and innovative techniques, Hornsea created pieces that remain timeless. After the pottery sadly closed in 2000, Magpie stepped in to revive the brand’s most famous designs, reintroducing them for a new wave of admirers.
