Pretty Green x The Beatles Martha floral Jacquard tunic jacket, part of the new collaboration celebrating 50 years since the recording and release of the Beatles 1968 album, best known by it's nickname, The White Album.

Given the name, you might think it was Paul McCartney who inspired this Pretty Green jacket, but we believe it's actually a jacket worn by Ringo Starr during the filming and promotion of the 1968 film, Candy. Ringo filmed scenes and posed for photos with his co-star, Ewa Aulin in Rome, Italy in 1967, sporting an extrovert gold jacquard Nehru collar tunic. During the late 60s Nehru collar jackets and shirts were at the fashion forefront and all the Beatles wore one or two from time to time. Another keen trend brought about in part by the Beatles was the victorian floral jacquard patterning seen on George Harrison's and John Lennon's Granny Takes A Trip William Morris jackets from the same time, so they add another dimension to the Marth Jacket's inspiration.

Featuring embossed Pretty Green buttons, retro mod shoulder epaulets, a tailored fit and a Nehru collar, the Martha tunic is a faithful homage to the late 1960s dandy look in black and silver with floral jacquard patten. Sure to be a sought after collectors item and strictly limited edition!
