Pretty Green X Kappa Limited Edition Range
Atom Retro favourites Pretty Green and iconic Italian sportswear brand Kappa have launched their first collaboration, a limited edition capsule inspired by the "style and spirit of the 1990s".
Celebrating the coming together of music and sportwear during the 1990s, with track tops and hooded training tops becoming part of the style aesthetic associated with rave culture and the Britpop movement. The Pretty Green x Kappa capsule brings togrther that shared history bringing together the "UK’s musical heritage and Italian sportswear legacy”.

The collection also name -checks the erstwhile stadium of Manchester City, Maine Road, which itself became an example of sport and music colliding in the 1990s when it hosted Oasis for two legendary nights in April 1996. 80, 000 tickets were sold over the to nights, with Gallagher brothers also securing the honour of 'playing' their beloved football club's stadium. Often cited as the pinnacle of the Britpop era, the second night was filmed and released as simply titled "Oasis - Maine Road Second Night", which unsuprisingly saw a significant uptick in views after the news of the bands live return was first announced last year.

The 'Maine Road' capsule offers a small but stylish collection of '90s Casuals' fashions perfectly combining a sports aesthetic with a cool Britpop vibe. All items feature dual branding with the Pretty Green signature logo sharing space with Kappa's iconic Omini logo. First concieved in 1969, Kappa's summer of love style logo depicts the silhouette of a man and women sitting back to back.
