The Sergio Tacchini collections for spring/summer 2023 draw upon the theme of tennis by the Italian Riviera for inspiration. Those pristine Italian clay courts and smooth sands along the Mediterranean coastline are evoked by the core pastel colour scheme of the SS2023 collection. The weather-worn multi-coloured buildings which hug the Riviera coastline are reimagined in archetypal Tacchini style with classic pops of colour, heritage silhouettes and legendary colour blocking detail. Naturally, as is synonymous with the brand, we are treated to that Segio Tacchini fusion of contemporary street style and vintage sport aesthetic.

Demonstrating a strong connection to Sergio Tacchini’s tennis roots is the new Youngish Line which reintroduces the archive styles made famous by John McEnroe, while utilising a faded pastel colourway to invoke summers in the Italian Riviera. The Youngish line with vintage style juxtaposed with a contemporary colourway brings the styles of the sunny Mediterranean coast to modern streetwear perfect for the English summer.

Sergio Tacchini is a constant favourite of those immersed in both 80s Casuals and vintage Varsity styles, and the brand has both bases covered with the revival of the Bastiano and Multi Stripe lines. Heritage styles brought to you with a contemporary twist such as Henley tee’s, cargo cuffed joggers, and classic track tops with tricot fabrics and contrast stripes providing that classic retro sports look.

New for 2023 is the relaunch of a women’s lifestyle offering from Sergio Tacchini which offers up a feminine update to the brands iconic styles. With both fitted and flared silhouettes, archetypal contrast colour detailing and that classic retro sports style all making a long overdue return to womenswear. Tennis inspired lines, with pleated skirts, classic  polo tops and dresses, and naturally vintage inspired track tops illustrating Tacchini’s heritage, add further to this great womenswear line.

For a brand dating back to 1966 Sergio Tacchini shows no sign of stalling, continuing to innovate whilst retaining that classic style into 2023. Indeed Sergio Tacchini will undoubtedly continue to see it’s popularity grow further still over the next twelve months as that classic combination of street style and retro sport aesthetic continues to capture more fans. This classic brand with it’s comfortable wearability and instinctual eye for colourways and shape is set to continue connecting with the consumer in today’s ever changing world.
