Brand: LUKE 1977

Luke 1977 Lion Tamer 1 Mens Retro T-shirt. The Vintage poster print bears a close resemblance to certain Clyde Beatty - Cole Brothers Circus poster from the 1950s and is cleverly interpreted in Luke 1977's own tongue in cheek manner. A cool play on the Luke 1977 signature lion branding, this Lion Tamer 1 Indie T-shirt is sure to get a roar of approval.

Lion Tamer 1 Mens Retro crew neck, short sleeve T-shirt by Luke 1977. Vintage poster print deign with 'Luke the Lion Tamer' tagline and vivid Retro colours projecting an Indie distressed edge thanks to the marl fabric showing through the print. Luke Roper is the protagonist and hero of the show as he tames the lion with the use of chair.

The lion tamer in the poster is actually quite famous. He's Clyde Beatty, who thanks to his fearless lion taming act featured in many films from the 1930's to the 1950s and also had his own radio show. A poster from his time with Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus (circa 1930's) features a similar action scene as depicted here, but the addition of the four coin like motifs alludes to the original poster for this particular print being from the Clyde Beatty Cole Bros. Combined Circus (circa 1940's/1950s).
