REALM & EMPIRE Retro WWII Engineering Corps Tee
Sorry, this item is currently unavailable.
Realm & Empire 'Engineering Corps' T-shirt. The Royal Engineers (also known as the 'Sappers') were the backbone of WWII operations providing Military Engineering and tactical support to the British Armed Forces. The 8th Anti-Aircraft Division provides the inspiration for this Retro Graphic T-shirt. Utilising the formation badge, this Military inspired Retro T-shirt by Realm & Empire is a surefire talking point - Royal Engineering Corps T-shirt by Ream & Empire.
Realm & Empire 'Engineering Corps' T-shirt in a fab Retro grey marl. Fantastic printed graphic to the front that displays the formation badge of the 8th Anti-Aircraft Division of the Engineering Corps. Formed in November 1940, the Division was responsible for the defence of Plymouth, Exeter, Bath and Bristol during the 1942 ‘Baedecker raids’ and the ‘tip and run’ raids on the South coast. Green and black Retro print on a crew neck, short sleeve Mens T-shirt.
The 'Baedeker' raids (or Baedeker Blitz) were named after the famous German travel guides. It was suggested that a furious Hitler (angry at the RAF’s attacks on Lubeck and Rostock) ordered every historic City in England that was marked with a three star rating in the Baedeker Guide be bombed in retaliation.
