An 80 ton schooner fishing vessel, MFV Kufra was used as a mobile headquarters commanded by 2nd Lieutenant Dick Croucher, an Intelligence Officer with the LRDG. The vessel was used by members of the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) on raiding operations into Yugoslavia from Italy. The 'Ridin the Storm' tagline seems apt considering the flag was flown on a military commandeered ship that would have been perpetually subject to adverse conditions.
