'Weejun' is an affectionate adaptation taken from the word Norwegian, the country where such slip on shoes (albeit to a far less dandy look) were readily worn by dairy farmers. Bass Weejuns are synonymous with the American Ivy Look, Sixties Mod and Mod Revival culture.
