Issued in the early 1950s, the Alpha Industries jacket was a vital piece of military kit worn by the US Air Force, Navy and ground crews. It was rugged, hard-wearing and purposefully built to ensure the wearer would remain warm even in extreme, sub-zero weather conditions. The jacket features a 'Moon landing 50th anniversary' badge on the shoulder, the Alpha Industries text in the Nasa style worm font on the chest and the 'Apollo' patch on the left side. A zipped pocket with the iconic Alpha Industries 'Remove before flight' tab ribbon is present on the shoulder as usual and another tab detailing man setting foot on the moon is additional and contains a little bit of extra space sparkle.
The lining of this jacket is footprints on the moon which links to the moon landing. This can be worn on the outside as the bomber flight jacket is reversible. Once reversed, the jacket even has pockets this way round.
