A simple and classicly styled raincoat that evokes images of 1960s mod fashions with it's large fold down collar and stylish retro white button detailing.
The distinctive 1960s 'plastic mac' or raincoat burst on to the streets of Britain in 1963 and quickly earned a status as an icon of Swinging Sixties London fashion. One of the primary instigators of this unique design was Mary Quant, who premiered her version of the plastic rainsmock style in Paris in 1963. The appearance of the bold new PVC 'wetlook' plastic mac fitted the emerging counter culture and existing Pop-Art scene perfectly, garnering a lot of attention from the public as well as celebrities such as Cynthia Lennon, Jean Shrimpton and Jackie Bowyer. The image of Jackie Bowyer wearing a 'wetlook' raincoat extravagantly posing beside a lamp post has become a symbol of 1960s style.

- Slightly re-worked from our original version, the PVC fabric is now ever so slightly thicker.

- Care: Do not wash or iron, wipe clean only. Any "dust" on your plastic mac is either cornflour or talc used in the production of the raincoat to stop the PVC sticking together. This will wipe off with a damp cloth.
